When do I need a new Closing Disclosure?

Making minor changes that affect information on the new Closing Disclosure generally will not require a new Closing Disclosure to be sent to the consumer prior to consummation.
However, there are three occurrences that require the lender to provide a new Closing Disclosure to the consumer within 3 days.
1. If the A.P.R. becomes inaccurate
2. If there is a decision to change the loan product
3. If the lender adds a prepayment penalty
Should any of the above occur, maintaining proper communication with your closing agent and lender will prevent delays and headaches by ensuring you have been provided the proper information well in advance of your closing so there will be no surprises.
